I wanted to share a few easy and inexpensive ideas and tips for throwing a Kids Halloween Party. Kids LOVE Halloween and it’s nice to know you don’t have to spend a fortune to put together a fun party for them. I love the idea of having a Halloween party for our kids. It’s a safe place for them to have some good ole Halloween fun. We are in charge of what they eat, drink see. We control the scary. When you throw a party for them on Halloween you and the other parents can choose to take the whole group at Trick or Treating which is much safer. Safety in numbers, right? You can even take them early, then once it’s dark and the bigger kids and the bigger scaries are out, your little ones wont be upset about the festivities ending because you still have a party for them!
I’m going to share some of my own tips and ideas that I used and put together for our Kids Halloween Party!
This is the Halloween decor party wall and food table for our party. The wreath I made last season from Alie’s first Momma-made tutu, the garland I made from paint chip samples last year. The streamers, hanging decor, white ghost sign, bowls and cupcake stand all came from Dollar Tree. The Halloween banner around the black poster boards I found on sale at Target for $1.50! Black poster board is from Walmart.
Hanging ghost and scare crow are from the dollar store, paper fan wheel collage I made from a scrapbook paper pack I found at Target’s Dollar Spot. Hanging pumpkins and green chandelier are from Dollar Tree. Cupcake stand is from Dollar Tree and the cupcake wrappers I found at Kroger.
See how cute that cupcake stand is!? I can’t believe it’s just a $1, and they had many more styles to choose from. Here are some more inexpensive items I found for our party. Halloween bingo game and glitter Halloween temporary tattoos are from Walmart. The hanging skeleton and glow in the dark purple skeleton are from Dollar Tree. The mummy and the Disney Halloween paint set are also from Dollar Tree. The cute Halloween cello bags and groovy straws are from Target’s Dollar Spot. The Disney Halloween themed books I found from the Target Dollar Spot, too. Simple and fun things to add to any Kids Halloween Party.
For our Halloween cupcakes I used Wilton’s Icing Colors pack. I made marbled black and orange cupcakes and topped them with orange, black and green tinted icing. I found a Halloween sprinkle pack at Walmart for under $4! The orange pumpkin plate is from Dollar Tree.
At Dollar Tree you can find lots of fun Halloween party activities for the kids. I got Alice (sweetie holding up her frame) and her cousins, Angie and April a craft pack of Halloween magnet frames and Halloween masks to make. There are also coloring books and painting sets.
At the top you can see their Halloween frames and masks they had fun making. We also had fun making ghosts from paper plates and strips of paper. I love how April made a full figured ghost and Angie made the volley ball for the mummy to hold!! For the paper plate ghost project it’s best to actually buy paper plates. I bought styrofoam plates, they were really hard to paint! You will also want to buy white paper streamers. I had bought white streamers but it’s going missing and still has not been found! SPOOKY! lol
I have another tip for saving money on holiday parties. Buy AFTER the holiday or season! I found ALL of this last year a week after Halloween at Walgreen’s for 75% off! I was like Christmas morning when I opened up the box of Halloween decor this year and said out loud, “OH YEA….remember we bought all this last year!” I had forgotten, made for a nice surprise.
We also bought Alice a couple costumes that were marked down 50% off, including this Bumble Bee costume. She loves Bumble Bee. You could buy your costumes from the next year at the after Halloween sales, too!
I made these Halloween cupcake toppers or party garland circles for y’all too! The are free for you to download and print.
Alice and I also made these cute Halloween Pizza Mummy’s!
